One of my original garlics from the very first year, Continental has proven to be a resilient Porcelain. In all likelihood, its genetics aren’t far from other European Porcelains, but it stays true to the maxim of fewer cloves are better. Especially when overcrowded or underfertilized, Continental will form rounds or two-clovers that make great planting stock next year, bouncing back into top position the next year. It forms big, consistent bulbs under the right conditions. 4 cloves per bulb.
